Daddy – Varanam Aayiram

This movie made me remember my dad, who was a great man and gave me everything he could. But, I still hate myself being so little at that time and for not remembering much of things about him. There is a lot which I heard about him rather remember about him.

Love you dad!

My sentiments apart. Daddy – the whole movie revolves over this sweet word. Just finished watching the movie, and it is an awesome treat from Surya and Gowtham Menon – but it doesn’t seem like a Gowtham movie to me, more a Surya movie with a lot of sentiments.

I read in many reviews that the 2nd half was boring et al, but I liked the 2nd part much than the 1st part. But I somehow didn’t like Simran playing an elderly woman role – that didn’t suit her at all. Music, Cinematography were big plus for the movie, and it is a must watch movie for everyone!

What’s happening in Eelam?

I know you would have read a lot about this in the recent days – about the war for Tamil Eelam by LTTE against the SriLankan government. I’m surprised to hear/read that LTTE are terrorists. He seems like a freedom fighter to me – not like Gandhiji, but more like Netaji who believed that weapons will make a country really free, than non-violence. Why aren’t people considering him just like Nelson Mandela – who fought for freedom in South Africa? I’m not sure why the world can’t acknowledge the fact that he is trying to fight for his people, who are dying in the mighty hands of the srilankan army!

And, I’m completely pissed by the way the political parties in Tamilnadu acts on this issue. When CM invited all party meeting to discuss on this issue, lot of opposite parties didn’t attend the meeting – just because they want to raise a campaign separately, and gain political power by that. They don’t understand that “Unity is Strength”.

But, I’m sure one day Tamil Eelam (as a seperate state, or a nation) will be set, and my brothers and sisters in SriLanka would be living peacefully. I can just pray as of now!

Let there be peace soon!
